If you have a loss, you must notify the insurance company or us promptly.

To greatly expedite your claim process, we encourage you to contact Commerce Insurance Company to report any loss directly, 24 hours a day, at 1-800-221-1605.  You will get your claim #, adjuster information, and appraisal information with one phone call.

You may also download and print a loss of notice form and return it to us by fax, by mail, or in person.  You will find these loss notices under the forms section on this page.

Auto Claims

If you are filing a claim for damage to your auto, you or someone on your behalf must file a proof of loss within 91 days after the accident.

Under Massachusetts law, notice to the local or state police and the RMV is required within 5 days if there is anyone injured in the accident, no matter how slight the injury, or if there is reason to believe there has been over $1,000 in total property damage.  You can download an operator's report under the forms section on this page.

If your auto is stolen or if you have been involved in a hit and run accident, notify both the police and your insurance company, or us, within 24 hours.

It is important to keep your policy current and up to date.  Please review your coverage periodically to make sure the information shown is correct.  It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes in address, garaging of vehicles, operators of vehicles, mortgagee clauses, etc.
